
BATHURST - QUALIFYING - BAILEY IN TOP HALF OF FIELD
Erebus Academy driver Bailey Sweeny has qualified in the top half of the field for Race 1 at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.
Sweeny has clocked a qualifying time of 2.40.9 to sit less than 2 seconds off the pole sitter.

BAILEY'S BATHURST CAMPAIGN BEGINS - SUCCESSFUL and SMOOTH DAY 1
Erebus Motorsport Academy driver Bailey Sweeny has hit the track and finished a smooth and successful first day of practice at Mount Panorama, during the 2020 Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 series round, as part of the Bathurst 1000.
Sweeny said, ‘today was simply about getting to know the circuit, the lines, the corners..and keeping everything clean. We will look to push as the weekend progresses and today is about learning as much as I can’.
Its an awesome circuit and I’m learning heaps so I cant wait to get back out again tomorrow and see what we can do’.

BAILEY DOMINATES TO WIN STATE TITLE ON WAY TO BATHURST
Erebus Motorsport Academy driver Bailey Sweeny has had the perfect lead up to his 2020 Bathurst Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 championship round at Mount Panorama, by taking out the Senior Performance Light ACT State Tittles, at the Mark Webber Kart circuit in Canberra.
In dominating the weekend, Bailey claimed the fastest in qualifying before coming home first in all heat races and the final, making it a clean sweep for the weekend.

2020 BATHURST SCHEDULE SET - SEE TIMES
The schedule has been set for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, with four support categories to join Supercars as part of the on-track action.
Bailey will make his debut at Australia’s most iconic race track on October 15, driving the ALL4 Mechanical Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 car.
The 1000km main event will get underway from 11:30am local time on October 18 – the final day of the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
MEDIA SEIZES ON BAILEY'S ANNOUNCEMENT
With the announcement that he will join the Virgin Australia Supercars race winning team Erebus Motorsport in their driver Academy, the national media spotlight has already shone on Bailey.
17-year-old Bailey Sweeny is making the switch from karts to cars & has been picked up by a Melbourne-based racing team.

PATHWAY CREATED - BAILEY SELECTED TO JOIN EREBUS ACADEMY
Bailey has been selected by the Virgin Australia Supercars race winning team Erebus Motorsport to be a driver in thier Academy.
The specialist program provides tailored mentoring, marketing and management support to young racing drivers with the assistance of the Erebus Academy and its program partners.

TOYOTA GAZOO RACING AUSTRALIA 86 DRIVE ANNOUNCED FOR 2020
Batemans Bay local and Australian karter Bailey Sweeny has announced his drive in the highly competitive Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 championships.
The TGRA 86 championship competes on the same circuits as the Supercars and is watched by millions. This includes the highest profile event in Australian motorsport - the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama in October.
